FIP Ranking System 2025

As in 2024, the 22 best results achieved by players in the QATAR AIRWAYS PREMIER PADEL and CUPRA FIP TOUR tournaments will form the FIP Ranking 2025. The distribution of points depends on the category of the tournament and the round achieved, which ensures a hierarchical system and promotes annual competitive consistency.

This mechanism is essential to structure the ranking and regulate access to tournaments according to performance level. The system creates a fair competitive environment where players must consistently perform at the highest level to maintain their ranking positions.

How Defence Points Work

Point defence is based on a continuous 52-week cycle, where players must match or better their performance in the same weeks of the previous year to retain points in their ranking. The loss of points is automatic and points are deleted at the end of the cycle. These will be replaced by the result obtained in the corresponding week of the current year.

The Ranking Rules Race

The Race Ranking is determined by each player's best 22 results of 2025, namely tournaments played on the 2025 QATAR AIRWAYS PREMIER PADEL and CUPRA FIP TOUR circuits. This means players need to be selective about which tournaments they participate in, as only their best performances count towards their final ranking.

The system rewards consistency across the season while allowing players to have some flexibility in their tournament schedule. Players can participate in more than 22 tournaments, but only their top 22 results will be counted towards their ranking.

Tournament Categories and Points

Different tournament categories offer varying point distributions, creating a hierarchical system that rewards performance at higher levels. The main categories include:

• Premier Padel: The highest level of professional padel tournaments, offering the most ranking points
• FIP Tour: International FIP tournaments that form the backbone of the ranking system
• Major Tournaments: Special high-prestige tournaments with enhanced point values
• Finals: End-of-season championship tournaments with maximum point values

The point distribution ensures that players are incentivized to compete at the highest levels while maintaining a fair system that allows for upward mobility in the rankings.
